Postcard marketing is another avenue designed to increase traffic to your site. I have found this to be effective and affordable. Postcards can produce a surge of traffic to your web site or generate high quality sales leads. I regularly do a mailing, using postcards purchased from, and supplied by, the company from whom I am obtaining tuition, and add a small hand written sentence to personalize it. Alternatively, you can design and have printed a postcard with your own short copy, allowing you to experiment with size, shape and artistic design. Simple postcards designed to look like a message from a friend can be printed on your own computer for only 2 or 3 cents per card.
If you have a limited budget to spend on your marketing campaign here are some advantages of using postcards to advertise your service or product.
* Postcards are much easier to prepare than direct mail or letter, the script is considerably shorter, with no folding or placing in envelopes.
* Postcards are more economical than a direct mail campaign in that you can realize savings in printing costs, paper , labour, and no envelopes necessary.

*Postcards do not pose a security problem similar to the Anthrax scare. It is now very important that people know exactly what you’re sending and who is doing the sending.
*It is not uncommon for Postcards to find their way on to notice boards or refrigerators, especially if they are creatively designed, or in some way, the message is informative enough for the recipient to save it. Exciting to think your Postcards are seen and your message read every day.
* The use of Postcards remains a novelty and does not carry with it the stigma associated with direct mailing. Postcards have not become so commonplace that they have become an irritant.
* Another advantage with Postcards is that the recipient can immediately start to read your message without the hindrance of an envelope to open.
